The Annual Communication of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Guernsey and Alderney took place on Monday 25th October having previously been due to take place on Friday 15th October but was rescheduled due to COVID restrictions.
The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master RW Bro. Keith W. K. Read accompanied by the Officers of the Lodge entered the Lodge in procession.
It would be normal custom for the procession to include many visiting Provincial Grand Masters however, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic it had been decided that it would be prudent not to extend invitations on this occasion and the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master made mention of his regret that this decision had to be made.
The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master appointed and invested the Provincial Grand Officers and promoted and appointed brethren with Past Provincial Ranks.
Congratulations to all the brethren who received appointments, re-appointments or past rank promotions, a full list is detailed below.
There were included in the appointments two new offices being that of the Provincial Grand Membership Officer and the Provincial Grand Communications Officer.
The Master Masons who had been raised in the year since the last meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge were presented to the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master.
The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master presented a Certificate of Service for Services to Freemasonry in the Province of Guernsey & Alderney to Michael Beacham.
