Guernsey Freemasons invited to Government House to recognise their fund raising efforts at the Saffrey Rotary Walk

On Tuesday 9th September 2025 two representatives of the Guernsey Freemasons team that took part in the round island Saffery Rotary Walk were invited to Government House to attend their awards evening.

The reason being, well the team had raised more funds than any other team so they were recognised with a trophy to celebrate which is now pride of place in a charity display at the Masonic Temple in St Martins.

Team Captain W Bro steve Byrne and Bro Matt Tostevin represent the team and got to see many recognised for their fund raising efforts, those supporting the event and the 25 charities receiving their donations from the funds raised.

The team raised an incredible amount, in fact over £1200. The next social charity event is the Simarathon which we have a team entered at 6pm on Friday 10th October 2025.
