Bro Donald George Bradman

Bro Donald George Bradman, born on the 27th August 1908 in Cootamundra, New South Wales Australia, he was an Australian international cricketer, widely acknowledged as the greatest batsman of all time. His cricketing successes have been claimed by Shane Warne, among others, to make Bradman the “greatest sportsperson” in history. Bradman’s career Test batting average of 99.94 is considered by some to be the greatest achievement by any sportsman in any major sport and nicknamed “The Don”. He retired from Cricket after the 1947-1948 season. He went out on top with his Australian team being nicknamed the Invincibles after they won the Ashes 4-0.

Bro Bradman was a member of Lodge Arcadia No 177 in Sydney, New South Wales. He passed away on the 25th February 2001
