On Friday 8th March 2 Brethren from the Province of Guernsey and Alderney travelled to Twickenham.
As part of their travels they booked into a meeting at the Twickenham Masonic Hall to visit the Brethren of Justicia Lodge No 2563 in the Province of Middlesex.
Brother Byrne who is the Senior Warden of Mariners Lodge No 168 and Worshipful Brother Iain Davidson, the Director of Ceremonies of Balfour Cockburn Lodge No 2805, had an incredible evening where they saw a fantastic ceremony which was a raising and they witnessed the walking charge with the Brethren from Justicia Lodge No 2563 certainly showing their fantastic high standards of ritual.
Bro Steve Byrne said “I had the pleasure of visiting Barras Hall Lodge No 8096 2 years ago and have been keen to come back to the Province of Middlesex and last week W Bro Ian Davidson and I were certainly treated to a wonderful evening at Justicia Lodge No 2563.”
“When we arrived the night was started with the Secretary presenting us both with a pair of Justicia Lodge No 2563 cufflinks and a Celtic pen and the night of excellent ritual continued from there.”
“The ceremony was a Raising and the stand out for us both was the Walking Charge delivered by the Organist who did an incredible job and something we are both keen to see again and also hopefully deliver as well we had displayed.”
“The ceremony was followed by a fabulous festive board where we both had the opportunity to reply to the Visitors toast and I had the opportunity to gist the Worshipful Master of Justicia Lodge No 2563 with a Mariners Lodge No 168 which is the oldest Lodge in the Channel islands and celebrated 240 years this month.”
