Dolyes Lodge of Fellowship No 84 donation kick start fundraising for St John Badgers and Cadets heading to UK

St John Ambulance Guernsey recently wrote on their facebook page ‘We would like to extend huge thanks to the Freemasons of Doyle’s Lodge of Fellowship No.84, for donating £5000 towards the fundraising campaign to send our youth members to this summer’s St John National Youth Camp in Oxfordshire.

Representatives from the Freemasons visited to St John last week and presented the donation to some of our very excited youth members.

CEO of the St John charity, Heather Langlois, said the donation has given the fundraising campaign a huge boost and we are now almost halfway to the target. Fundraising efforts will be continuing over the next few months with events including a quiz, as well as the charity’s annual flag day all set to add more to the target.

The St John National Youth Camp brings together St John youth members from across the U.K and Europe. It runs for a week in August, with a varied programme of activities and is an invaluable opportunity and experience for the Badgers & Cadets to further develop their skills.’
