On Tuesday 16th September Guernsey freemasons were graced with the presence of Tom Golds the UGLE Membership Manager who shared his knowledge and experience of setting up and running a Light Blues Club.
Light Blue Clubs have been a popular and growing initiative with Provinces across UGLE where Brethren who are often new or not yet Provincial come together for fun, events, learning and much more.
We are currently looking at setting up such a club here in Guernsey and Alderney and the evening was a great opportunity to glean valuable information from the Membership Manager who gave a thoroughly entertaining and interesting talk and Q&A.

Dear Brethren,
We’re thrilled to announce the formation of the Light Blues Club—an exciting new initiative open to all Guernsey & Alderney Freemasons, from being an Entered Apprentice until 2 years after their first Provincial appointment.
Why the Light Blues Club? This club will serve as a dynamic social network, bringing together both newer and more experienced masons for enjoyable gatherings, events, and community projects. Whether you’re keen to connect over shared interests or eager to give back through volunteering, there’s something for everyone.
Led by You The club will be run by its members, for its members. With a committee coordinating events and gathering feedback, you’ll have a say in what we do—without heavy Provincial oversight.
Support from United Grand Lodge A representative from United Grand Lodge is ready to visit Guernsey to endorse and support this new venture. Their visit hinges on the strength of our initial response—so don’t miss the chance to be a founder member of something special.
