The Lodges of Guernsey and Alderney raise funds in many ways for good causes throughout the year and recently Loyalty Lodge held a Ladies Night at the Duke of Richmond to raise funds for Channel Islands Air Search and Les Bourgs Hospice.
Channel Islands Air Search said recently on their facebook page ‘Many thanks to the members of Loyalty Lodge, who recently held a Ladies’ Night and kindly selected Air Search as one of two charities to benefit from the funds raised at the event (alongside Les Bourgs Hospice).
Pictured here is John Atkins of Loyalty Lodge presenting a cheque for £1,250 to David Hugo of the Friends of Air Search, next to Lions’ Pride. John is also one of Air Search’s volunteer Search Directors.
Whilst operated by volunteers, annual operating costs of this life-saving service are now in the region of £300,000. The charity is very grateful to the many individuals and organisations throughout the Islands whose generous support helps keep the Eyes in the Sky.’
