Every year the Guernsey Bikers Group (GBG) and Widows Sons undertake a number of rides and collections for local charities.
One such organised event is, “The Toy Run” where they meet at the Imperial and ride to the PEH, packed with toys for patients, mostly aimed for the children. We also have a collection on the day.
The ride took place in December, well supported by the Guernsey Bikers Group and Widows Sons, for which £300 was raised and dozens of toys donated.
The Widows Sons met on Sunday at PEH to present that £300 collection and are pleased to further match that sum, providing £600 in total.
Members of the Widows Sons are Freemasons and raise all their money from personal contributions, without relying on public funds.
