In November 2025 two lodges teamed up to raise an incredible £3400 for 4 great causes.
The event with well over 100 in attendance of Freemasons, partners, friends, family and some interested in joining resulting in a packed room at the Peninsula Hotel enjoyed an incredible night.
The room was decorated with a Remembrance theme as it was close to Remembrance Day saw bunting and flags to poppy flowers across the tables with gifts for the ladies.
The Head of Guernsey Freemasonry Phil Falla was also there and said some wonderful words and kindly gifted flowers to the Masters wives and his own partner.
The staff at the Peninsula Hotel were fantastic and served an amazing meal and provided the room to ensure as much as possible could go to the chosen charities.
The raffle was supported by so many there were nearly as many prizes as guests with many valued in the hundreds of pounds.
Worshipful Master Steve Byrne from Mariners assisted by Worshipful Master Phil Hill-Smith auctioned a Chelsea Pensioner teddy bear which was donated when they visited in 2024 which raised an incredible £1000 which is being donated to the fund that helps bring the Chelsea Pensioners and Gurkha’s over at the upcoming liberation Day.
On top of the auction an additional £2400 was raised which the wife of the Master from Mariner’s Lodge split £1,200 between Channel Island Air Search and the GSPCA. The wife of the Master of Lodge Fidelis nominated the Guernsey Cheshire Home for the other half so an amazing £1,200.
The Master of Fidelis Lodge Phil Hill-Smith said some wonderful words to the room and on behalf on the ladies his lovely wife Claire.
The compare for the evening was W. Bro. Steve Edwards who helped ensure the night ran smoothly with our outstanding Brother Tim Le Page providing the entertainment as our top DJ to help dance the night away.
To all that supported the event, helped with raffle prizes, the auction, the Peninsula Hotel team and those that organised the event a huge thanks.
A special thanks to the wives and partners of the Brethren who are an incredible support and the night was a chance to celebrate and thank them for all they do.
