Masonic Crockery

This crockery was used at the Le Marchant Street Temple from the 1950’s up to 1995, they would have been used at the Festive Boards.

Here we have a selection of a dinner plate, starter plate and a side plate, with a soup bowl and a dessert bowl. These transfer painted plates and bowls all had a Royal blue rim and a blue Square and Compass motif with Guernsey and Alderney below, denoting the Province.

They were manufactured by two different companies to this standardised design, the first type by Enoch Wedgwood c.1965 and another by W Adams and Son c. 1950.It would appear that an initial batch was purchased from Adams and son and later supplemented by a second batch by Wedgwood. These sets were made available to members for donations to charity in 1995 when the Le Marchant Street Temple was cleared.
