Light Blues Club Secretary Matt Tostevin on BBC Radio Guernsey
Members of the Guernsey & Alderney Freemasons Light Blues Club were delighted to hear our Secretary, Bro Matt Tostevin, interviewed by Matthew Price on BBC Radio Guernsey recently.
Matt was invited onto the programme to talk about the Light Blues Club, which was established earlier this year to bring together newer Freemasons whilst encouraging friendship, participation and community involvement across the islands.
During the interview, Matt highlighted some of the many activities and projects undertaken by club members over the past few months. These have included helping to repaint the railings at the New Cemetery in St Martin’s, supporting local gardening projects, attending a variety of community events, and volunteering at the South Show along with a stall and at the GSPCA and Charities Seafront Sunday. These activities reflect the Club’s commitment to supporting the local community whilst enjoying fellowship and teamwork among members.
Matt also spoke about the exciting development of a new Women’s Freemasons Lodge in the Bailiwick, which is expected to be launched shortly. He discussed the wider world of Freemasonry in the Channel Islands, highlighting the positive contribution Freemasons continue to make through charity work, volunteering and community engagement.
The interview provided an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of both the Light Blues Club and Freemasonry more generally, showcasing the many ways members contribute to island life.
